“From Ruin to Radiance: The Red Pepper Dresser”

There’s something deeply satisfying about breathing life back into a piece that others might overlook. When I first laid eyes on this dresser, it was cloaked in a dreary, peeling gray paint—filthy, chipped, and barely holding together. But beneath the grime and wear, I saw potential (along with some amazing scrollwork on the drawer fronts). Not just for restoration, but for transformation.

🛠️ The Process
I started with a full overhaul: cleaning every inch, sanding down the rough edges, filling holes, and repairing broken drawers and slides. Once the bones were solid, I gave it three rich coats of Behr Red Pepper in a satin sheen—a bold, warm red that commands attention without shouting. To protect its beauty for years to come, I sealed the top and sides with two coats of satin water-based polyurethane.

⚫ Finishing Touches
To complete the look, I replaced the knobs with sleek 1-1/4" black hardware that pops against the red and complements the ornate carvings on each drawer front. The result? A striking, one-of-a-kind piece that blends vintage charm with modern flair.
